It’s a fine line between creep and cringe and these movies nail it with every rewatch.
Let’s just jump into it, here’s a list of movies from the 2000s that are so cringe that they’re good. Seriously.
Bhoot - 2003 (Indian): When a married couple moves into a flat that is haunted by a spirit, a series of inexplicable experiences drive the wife to near madness. This Ajay Devgan vehicle brings the nostalgia and the fright in the best way possible.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa (Indian): An NRI and his wife decide to stay in his ancestral home, forgoing warnings of hauntings and such. After contact with the spirits that linger, he soon finds himself turning to outside forces for help and he soon loses his semblance of reality. The first in a trilogy, this cult classic lays up from incredible frights.

Zibahkhana 2007 (Pakistani): Also released as Hell’s Ground, on their way to a concert, a group of teens are diverted by a political protest, only to encounter a family of flesh-hungry psychopaths. This true cult-favourite will dial up the nostalgia factor to max.

Darna Mana Hai 2003 (Indian) – A true teen-horror movie from India, one of the few of its kind, Darna Mana Hai actually delivers on the promise of good frights, that stay with you long after. The build up for most these stories make the climax even scarier. Must watch.

Jeepers Creepers 2 2003 - (Hollywood): Coming off the heels of a successful first installation, this follow up release builds up tension in a way sustained all the way till the climax. Also, not to mention, a monster more fright-inducing than Freddie or Jason.

The Strangers 2008 - (Hollywood): When true crime meets horror, the stakes are just that much higher. Monitor your heart-rate while you watch this story about a couple in a remote neighbourhood being terrorised by a mask-wearing family, breaking into their home in the middle of the night.
