Engine off, open sunroof, a cool breeze, some chai karak at the cafeteria – and this playlist.
The weather has finally turned cool. For the first time since pleasant, and rare, summer breezes, there’s a chill in the air. It’s time to grab your hoodies and your warm knits and make use of the weather that comes as such respite to a lot of us.
This playlist is not meant to be too self-serious. Have fun with it, throw it on while you’re working at home with the balcony door open, as the curtain dances with the wind, or as you’re driving home from work, and you slide open the sunroof.
We’ve got some great artists here for you to discover from – Taha G, a Pakistani soul and R&B singer, with his instant-hit ‘Dil Kay Ishare’, to indie-Indian musician, Lifafa’s ‘Nikamma’. There’s also some music in there from my one of my favourite artists, H.E.R. with her soulful smooth reggae inspired track ‘He Loves Us Both’ in collaboration with Lila Iké. Also to round it off, there’s some mellow California chillout music from Glass Beams in there.
Take it easy this weekend and enjoy the weather.
