Beach, Please: What We're Packing for Summer Escapes

The beach wardrobe has become strangely overcomplicated. Somewhere between themed resort collections, viral holiday aesthetics and the pressure to produce an entirely new personality for every destination, we seem to have forgotten that the best beach style is usually the least contrived.

The pieces that work hardest are rarely the loudest. They’re the ones you can throw on without much thought: an oversized linen shirt that doubles as a cover-up, a swimsuit that works beneath trousers, relaxed shorts that can survive both the beach and lunch, and accessories practical enough to carry everything without making the outfit feel overly styled.

This edit is less about dressing for the beach and more about dressing around it. The long lunches, sunset drinks, walks through town and inevitable moment when someone suggests going somewhere straight from the sand. The goal is ease - breathable fabrics, relaxed silhouettes and enough polish to make it look intentional.

For women, we’re leaning into clean swimwear, fluid separates and accessories with texture. For men, the formula is equally uncomplicated: good swim shorts, easy shirting and pieces that feel relaxed without drifting into holiday-dad territory.
